Allison-Devore has been outstanding to work with. Without Scott Allison's expertise, we honestly could not be living in our home—a fixer-upper in Grahamsville. Scott and his team of highly skilled craftsmen and sub-contractors were patient, realistic on timing, and reliable. Scott went above and beyond in working with us, and we learned a great deal about home renovation that we didn't know we didn't know. He guided us through options that fit within our budget, and we learned a great deal from him about the variations in market availability and pricing of materials. In addition to the numerous complex variables associated with restoring a mid-1800s house on a limited budget, our project was highly atypical in Allison-Devore's portfolio because many parts of the house had been hastily repaired or renovated over the years. Looking back, Scott was exceptionally accurate in his estimates and flagged to us during pre-closing parts of the house that may have issues that the inspection report missed. Some of Scott's team members have 3-4 decades of experience in their trades. When we couldn't find a matching molding to replace parts of the trim that the prior owner had removed, Scott's master carpenter matched the trim by hand. Now that we've been in our home for nearly three years and have become part of the local community, everyone we've met knows and loves Scott and Allison Devore's outstanding work. We are fortunate to have had the opportunity for him to take on such a small project, considering the major new builds and renovations throughout the Catskills area that AD is known for. On top of all else, Scott was extremely patient with us as our bank financing included more complicated than average milestone inspections and paperwork- We could not have navigated it all, including permits, without his help and are so grateful for all of the kindness he has shared to us as we continue to work on various DIY projects around the house. Even more amazing: when cleaning up our barn, we found an old invoice from more than 45 years ago for cedar shingling on the barn's roof, and Allison Devore did the work!
