GallopNYC offers a wonderful program for special needs children and we've been on their waiting list for a long time; we finally were invited to participate and we couldn't be happier. The stables feel like you're out in the country even though they're located off of the highway in Howard Beach. They have ponies and horses and the staff and volunteers are all very kind and helpful, teaching the students basics on horse terminology, groundwork to care for the animal and safe riding techniques. My son thoroughly enjoys his time in Pony Club.

Won my heart the first day I showed up to volunteer not entirely knowing what to expect. Every individual I met was passionate, kind, - not to mention devoted to the wellness, care and enrichment of the horses, riders and staff. I instantly felt welcomed into this little equestrian oasis in Queens. Even though I was there to volunteer just working around the barn the environment was extremely therapeutic - a little taste of country life in the heart of city. I’ll definitely be back!

This place is so welcoming, clean, and so fun. The person who guided our barn visit made it so fun for Tianny and myself too. She has an obsession with horses and I wanted her to be able to interact with them as I grew up around horses in my home country. She learned a lot about care for horses through him, and also broke her first fear with the gentle giants. She got to pet and groom them and chill in their presence. She wants to go back and see her favorite which was Mr. Big even though she’s still a bit afraid of horses still! This place is so well kept and the horses look healthy and happy. We will definitely be back soon☺️
