Nearly 5 years after my cycling accident, the case against NYS is finally settled and closed. Opting for an arbitration settlement vs a trail was both frustrating and disappointing. While very impressed with the firm’s paralegal who clearly knows her stuff, (hence the reason for the 2 stars) my experience with counsel soured. I ultimately decided to settle through arbitration. Unfortunately I was unpleasantly surprised to learn, after the fact, there was one significant factor that would negatively impact the final settlement. A factor that was NEVER properly communicated to me by counsel, which counsel later denied (basically calling me a liar). Glad to be alive, case closed, time to move on….

Walked into Sheldon's office at 9:58 this morning November 12,2025. Never met the man before but from his online profiles he seemed to be just what I was looking for. We introduced each other . He asked me what I was there for, I proceeded to tell him. He grabbed his phone and wrote down another attorneys number and handed it to me. I was back in my truck @ 10:05 . 7 mins and yes he charged me 500 dollars. I don't know how he sleeps at night.

Very disappointed with the firm telling me that they could not get a response from the side we are suing???? Is that acceptable? They just wanted me hire them and wvwntually take my file to another attorney so that they get a share of the results! That’s the only explanation I could conclude. Now I received a letter that the legal expenses might exceed my claim? Are u kidding?! With all due respect, you have not even attempted to have a case on a serious case we have hired you for!
