I visited this salon for a head spa and it was an amazing experience. The atmosphere was calm, the staff was polite, and the massage was extremely soothing. I felt completely relaxed afterward. Highly recommend!

I have been coming here for years and I absolutely love this establishment! Everyone here is so sweet and since my last review I have also used Evani for not only eyebrows- but also for makeup services and hair services. Evani does it ALL and you will always walk away super happy with your results!

I used to go to this place UNTIL Evani decided to use box dye to do my hair at the Commack location. She was not supposed to use black box dye because she knew that's not what I wanted. I spent over $1,500 on color correction just to remove what she had done. Please stop doing hair because clearly you do not know how. Stick to what you know which is NOT hair. Please do not go to her for hair purposes. It's clearly way to easy to graduate cosmetology school nowadays.

I struggled with writing this review for a couple of months. 1) Yelp has this notification or message to please accommodate businesses during COVID. 2) Yelp also sends another message to look at and like/ acknowledge other reviews by other consumers for the same establishment. I did not read the 3 recent Yelp reviews from other customers who had really bad experiences with this Salon. Deepika - " poor and rude customer service", chasing down a nine month pregnant woman. Shreya " ruined, destroyed". Jaswinder " sheer waste of money" These are words from their reviews. My mother knows the owners for 40 years and meets them on a regular basis at parties, lunches, card games and get togethers. My mother is blind in her right eye. Her vision and perception are hence hindered. I drove her to the salon for her cut n color appointment with the owner Nina L. Nina had her daughter Evina handle it. The other owner/partner Vineet's father, manager and front desk counter person Mr Darshan ( goes by Deekay) N was very polite and welcoming. I was told to come back after 90 minutes which I did. He told me not to forget her winter cap as it was really cold. Very considerate. It took about two hours. I paid the $94 in cash ( Yelp 10 percent discount so $105 total minus the $11, plus a $33 cash tip plus a box of Lindt truffles that I had picked up in Switzerland). Got home and then actually looked at her head carefully. She had been butchered. ( see both photos). Her scalp was showing. The hair was cut way too short. The color was lighter than she requested and normally got. I took photos. I went back with the photos 2 days later. When I mentioned the issues, the really nice Manager Mr N ( owner Vineet's father) snapped, I mean yelled at me" What are you showing me this for ? I am not the aesthetician.". I politely asked for Nina L. She got flustered and denied everything. " Her hair was already like this". " This is what your mother wanted" etc. It took every ounce, every fiber of self control in my being not to say anything, not to react! I waited and stood there and she eventually did say, " I am sorry!". I responded " Is that it?" She then stated " Oh ok, I will fix it!", then turned and walked away. I counted to ten, smiled, waved and walked out. We did not go back, even for the free fix it.

Went in to get my eyebrows done over the weekend and was at first glance very impressed with how professional and clean the salon was in comparison to some of the other eyebrow places closer to where I live. The lady I went to, Vandana, was pretty good, she did an adequate job but it did take her significantly longer than the salon I normally visit. I will note that she was sanitary, unlike some other places I've visited, which was a plus. Where there was an issue is I specifically asked if I could pay using Venmo, because they had everyone's QR code at the register and the man sitting at the counter said yes. I went over to Vandana and showed her that I paid and she said ok, thank you, and I left. I was half way down the stairs (at nine months pregnant I may add), and Vandana calls me back up to the salon, and the man at the counter said I didn't pay. I showed him my Venmo transaction and he said that Venmo was only for tips. I specifically asked him if I could pay using Venmo and he had said yes. Overall this was a subpar experience with very poor and rude customer service, and the prices for eyebrows ($8, $6 for upper lip threading) was exorbitant compared to my normal salon and I certainly will not be going back.

Be careful going here, my eyebrows have been ruined twice now, so just make sure you are selective of who threads them. First time was 2 years ago, and I tweezed to fix the shape for two entire years since that day. I went back again a few days ago, and the woman who did them destroyed my shape again after I specified not to change the shape and simply clean them up because the shape was absolutely perfect. She took off a major chunk of my left eyebrow (for absolutely no reason) and now it is significantly thinner and rounder than the right. Some people there are good, but it is entirely hit or miss.

Even one star is too much , no temperature checks .. masks on & off most of the time . Have no clue how to give a facial , scrubbed so hard face was red for a few hours after & around the eye area ( which esthetician does that ) cardinal rule. Will never go there again & will tell all my friends & acquaintances too . Sheer waste of money & jeopardize my health too in this pandemic .. no safety at all

It was my first time at this salon and I really loved my experience here. I was having lunch in the area and found it on google. I was really hoping to book a facial for the same day. The girl on the phone was very sweet and professional and fit me in on short notice. I was greeted by the owner and she was very sweet as well. I was offered tea and refreshments upon arrival and noticed how sparkling clean the salon looked. The facial room was very clean, dimly lit and the bed was very comfortable. I'm pregnant and laying on my back isn't that ideal usually but this bed contoured perfectly. The room was quiet as well so I could relax -a stark contrast to the other Indian salons in Hicksville. They had disposable gowns which was great. The therapist did a great job on my dry skin and I enjoyed the face massage so much. I was looking for a good place for a while that did great facials. I've honestly been terribly disappointed with other Indian salons in the area. I'm so happy I found this place. I booked an appointment for my Mom for tomorrow. Will definitely spread the word to all my family and friends! Thank you please keep up the nice work!
