My family began using Amherst Memorial Chapel in 2006 when Leon Komm was the proprietor. His handling of my grandmother’s funeral and the reinterment of my grandfather was beyond reproach. He was kind, compassionate, and caring every step of the way.
Fast forward to 2022, when my mother passed away, and then later that same year, my father. By that time, Leon had retired and Mitch Steinhorn had purchased the business. Mitch handled both my mother’s and father’s arrangements with the same grace, professionalism, and compassion our family had experienced for years.
