Dr. Steven Ihrig, OD
“This was our first experience with this office, and unfortunately it will also be our last.
We purchased prescription Ray-Bans for my wife, and when they arrived we immediately noticed a mechanical gouge in one of the lenses. Surprisingly, the staff never caught the defect before handing them over. After waiting two weeks for the glasses to come in, they had to be sent back out for replacement.
Nearly another full month later, the glasses finally returned. This time, there was a small pin-sized gouge in the center of one lens and two additional gouges in the exact horizontal line each side on the other lens. The first defect was huge, the second was barely noticeable but enough to annoy someone trying to look through the lenses. Once again, the defects were not noticed by the staff before giving the glasses back to us.
We're now left wondering what the next step is and how much longer we'll be waiting for a pair of glasses that should have been right the first time.
The doctor was professional, and most of the staff were friendly. However, quality control and attention to detail have been extremely disappointing. It's frustrating to spend good money on premium eyewear only to receive damaged products multiple times, with the defects repeatedly going unnoticed.
Our entire family purchased multiple pairs of glasses during this visit, but after this experience, we won't be returning. Mistakes can happen, but there needs to be better accountability and inspection before customers receive their orders. Now, I'm going to scrutinize the whole frame and lenses and everything had better be absolutely perfect or I want to be reimbursed. If someone bought a brand new car, I'm sure they wouldn't want defects in the paint for full price, so that being said, something new should be in pristine condition.”
