I've been going to MoMo Nails in Flushing, NY for 21 years. Yes, 21 years. Even though in these years I've moved to Westchester then back to the Bronx, now New Jersey, when I get the chance, I'll still drive to MoMo Nails in Flushing, Queens. While I can say, the husband & wife team has previously had other technicians employed, they've been running it & working it on their own for so long, that it obviously works...If you need a walk-in place, you'd have a better chance w/a salon that has a multitude of techs working. MoMo nail usually has appointments made, & that's a lot of the reason they will turn away a walk-in. As for Cathy's work, it's ALWAYS GOOD - however, her personality has its moments. So, constantly gracious, chipper or talkative, she is not, but I can assure you that her nail work is great. Sunny, the husband in this business is just as sweet, & works well. I have noticed that he's been working a little slower, but he's good enough - will never hurt your feet, but massages are just okay. As I said, he's slower. Basic manicure, gel manicure, acrylic and silks is what you can have done at this salon, aside from regular pedicures, wax options. All of the newer methods aren't really offered here. Do note, Cathy has a great hand in duplicating most designs & nail shapes are on point- Again, she may not have the best persona, but good work you'll get. While I'd prefer stupendous service at any kind of service type-salon, I'm used to what she can be like, & still value her work. Must try at least once if you're looking to have a neat, clean & nice job done for an occasion, or just to treat yourself.

I started coming here this year as it’s close to my fiancé’s place. The place is run by a lovely couple. The wife does the nails and the husband pedicures. He takes his time and does a very thorough job. The wife is an expert at the mani as well. Quick yet very precise. They don’t engage in much conversation, but that’s ok with me. Overall they are still pleasant and kind. Not being a Chatty Cathy doesn’t equate to rude. My pedicure last nicely for 4 weeks and a gel mani does not chip. Mine have lasted up to 3 weeks, but better to go every 2. Because it’s only two of them, better to call ahead to see when there is availability. So if your schedule is flexible,...read full review

place is spotless after reopening for the pandemic. just two employees but they take their time and do an amazing job. they’re super affordable and are very meticulous which is important. i always come here and have been treated with respect every time. my nails look amazing each time and they last!!! make sure to call ahead and schedule an appointment. they’re my go to salon and i don’t plan on changing anytime soon.
