I grew disappointed in my previous salon so I looked up other places in the area and found Mellan. I came in this afternoon after calling and getting an appointment. I have very short hair, so there's not a lot to cut. But since it's short, it has to be cut nicely to compliment my face shape otherwise it can be really unflattering. I worked with Monica and she was really great. She looked at a couple of pictures that I had and patiently listened to me explain how my hair used to look, and what I wanted it to look like in the future. LOVE this place! It has been my go to spot for years. The owner, Beata, is an expert colorist. She's seen me through highlights and now flaming red hair! I always leave feeling sexy and every time, without fail, I get compliments everywhere I go! Their cute décor is in homage to Marilyn Monroe and the general feel of the place is courteous, professional, & clean. Beata's also funny and great to talk to so I always enjoy my time there.
