There is not enough staff to keep up and budget cuts make things worse. You can always volunteer like I do. I care for one of the big ornate plots with a wrought iron fence and take great pride in my work,although they may not have a working mower for me to borrow in the spring. I don't even know the family but very interesting history. I have three family plots also that I keep nice. A donation of time, money or garden tools would be most appreciated.
