Avoid at all costs. I call and tell them I’m looking to have just my beard done and if there is a wait because I was in a hurry to go somewhere. They said sure come in, no wait. I get there 5 mins later and it’s an old couple already occupied cutting people’s hairs. So there is a wait indeed. That would be fine but neither of them even address me or say hi after I came in. First time ever that this has happened for me at a barbershop. This is when I should have left. But I stayed and maybe 12-14 mins later, the lady finished up with her customer and called me over. I explain to the lady I want only a small tiny bit off the length off my face cheeks and mainly just clean up the bottom and do an edge up. She starts by taking the trimmer straight to the hair on my cheeks and take a big part off. What a mess. I refrained my using profanity respecting their old age. But she could tell I was very irritated by this and not even an apology at all. She pretended like she doesn't understand English at all. Then her husband came over as he was done with the customer he had and I explained to him what happened and even he didn't apologize and simply said he can even it out so it doesn't look as bad. At that point I said whatever and he trimmed it and I left. Sort the Google reviews by “lowest” and you’ll see others have had issues with them cutting way too much as well.
Tldr; avoid at all costs. They hardly know what their doing and the positive reviews must be by either family or friends of theirs or by people who have never ever gone to any other barbershop in their life so their used to bad work.

Granted, as an older man who doesn’t have a lot of hair, I don’t expect much from a haircut. But I I go to Robert because I not only get a great haircut, I enjoy talking to him about everything that’s going on, not only in our lives but also in the world. I spend half the year in Florida but come back to NY on a regular basis and that’s when I schedule my haircut. Been going to Robert for over 20 years and will continue for at least another 20 God willing. I have no problem recommending him to anyone. Go. You will thank me. Everyone who I sent does!

First time being at Roberts barber shop and I can say it was a great experience. I brought my two sons to get a haircut (4and 6 years old). My six year old always has fear of getting hurt because of a past experience at a different place. Mr. Robert the owner focus his attention on my son, made a conversation with him and made him feel comfortable. My son has left extremely happy and looking forward to going back again which something that’s never happened before. Mr. Alex treating my 4 year old very kindly and not once my son felt the fear of getting cut which is phenomenal and it makes me feel at ease. Thank you both for the professionalism and amazing service.

Kind people. Horrible service. I was charged $36 for a hairline and shave. Barber Didn’t trim my beard at all, didn’t shape up my mustache. PUSHED my hairline back! after i kindly asked to make sure that didnt happen. Im not a cheap person. i'll pay $50 for a quality haircut any day.. but today i was ripped off. Like i said. Nice people but I regret coming here.

Mr. Robert is awesome, my first time going to Robert’s Babershop! It has been a long time looking for a baber with Mr. Robert’s experience. He did the combination of clippers with scissors that many other barbers can not even get close to! I will be seeing Mr. Roberts on my regular 2 to 3 week haircut cycle that I have been longing to get back to.
