We had a wonderful experience working with Michael Lewis Architects. Brandon was the architect assigned to our project, and he was professional, responsive, and a great communicator from start to finish.
Our home was originally built in 1896, so it was very important to us to find someone who could design a space that felt true to the original architecture while also adapting it for modern family life. Brandon absolutely nailed that balance. He brought creative, thoughtful ideas to the table—many of which we hadn’t considered—that helped the new design feel seamless with the existing structure.

We hired MLA to design an extensive renovation for our recently-purchased mid century modern home in Westchester. To say that was a good decision would be an understatement.
It was clear early on that Peter and Michael have immense knowledge, talent, creativity and enthusiasm for their work, but more than that, collaborating with them made us enjoy the process so much more.
In the end, it became far more than a routine update to an old home—it was nothing short of a rebirth. So many great ideas and details, rooted in period-correct style, were designed into the plan. It was more than we ever envisioned or hoped for.

We hired Michael Lewis Architects to design a renovation for our mid-century home and can't recommend them highly enough. The project was substantial, from rebuilding the foundation to opening up and reconfiguring spaces, redesigning kitchen and bathrooms, maximizing light and the relationship between the interior and exterior. Michael and his team were highly collaborative and really took the time to understand our vision and work with us in developing a plan. They are great problem solvers and have an inspiring sense of design that synthesizes beauty and functionality.
