I began taking lessons at Star Ballroom in Huntington (Dix Hills) in March. My goal was to become a more competent social dancer. The owner Rodrique and instructor, Joey were extremely enthusiastic and have been so much fun to work with. Even though I am very self conscious, they encouraged me to work on a couple partnered dances for their showcase in June. It was very challenging but also a tremendous amount of fun. Their clientele are very supportive of each other.They also have lively dance socials a couple times a month that are very enjoyable. Star ballroom is the most innovative and fun studio on Long island. Debbie and Rodrigue are an exception pair and are so enthusiastic and passionate about ballroom dancing andit shows. If you want to learn any type of dance especially ballroom, this is the place for you! The studio itself is absolutely gorgeous and the floors are magnificent to dance on! I look forward to seeing everyone there :)
