“The project that the team did for us in Croton is without a doubt the best investment for our property we have done in many years. We have a steep slope which was covered with invasive. Our way of dealing with it was to cut it down once or twice a year, that didn’t work. The team took a couple of days to clear the area and created a new path down the hill. A few weeks later they were back planting thousands of natives of many sorts.

Now, we can hardly wait for spring to arrive so we can see the slope come to life. And this project is not yet done. My hope it that we can persuade more Crotonites to follow in our footsteps which will help our new natives continue to thrive.

“Had a big drainage project done at my house and these guys were great from start to finish. Super easy to work with, showed up when they said they would, and clearly knew what they were doing.

They explained everything in a way that actually made sense and didn’t try to overcomplicate things. The work itself came out really clean, solved the drainage issues we were having, and the yard was left in great shape when they were done.

“I highly recommend the services being provided by Hickory Homes. Chris Galli and his crew did an excellent job at my home. I recently had a large tree fall on my property that partially blocked my driveway and that required urgent attention. I emailed Chris on Easter morning (having worked with him very successfully in the past on another tree issue) and he responded the same day saying he would come first thing on Monday, which he did. He was able to arrange for his crew to be at my home on Wednesday of the same week and removed the fallen tree in total, including stump grinding and full clean up. While he had his crew there, I also asked him to top and prune several of my ornamental trees that were becoming very leggy and unsightly. All trees were pruned beautifully and now have great shapes, and I'm sure will grow in great this season. Hickory Homes has great equipment and skilled workers. Five Stars is well deserved.“

“This is our third time hiring Alto Contracting. Prior times were a set of retaining walls and steps, and to deal with a serious drainage issue that had resulted in sink holes. This time was for curbstones along a brick path. Of particular import is that Rick has an excellent knowledge built from years of experience on how to deal with various issues - in this case drainage issues, repairing an existing walkway and aesthetic choices. Prior times were building retaining walls on a steep slope and drainage issues. On our first job with him (the serious drainage problem) who had three contractors come and each explained their preferred approach. With thought Rick's made the most sense and went with him, and it addressed our issues. After that we didn't bother with other bids. On the retaining wall, his approach was better than what was suggested by our engineer (who agreed and then had to submit the plans to the local building inspector and planning board). We would definitely hire Alto for future projects and highly recommend.“
