I had problems with my plumbing and I called Don’s Electric. I talked to a lady named Tiffany and explained my situation. She set me up from an appointment. There technician Brian and Ron came out and fixed my plumbing problem. They went above and beyond to get my problem fixed.

Called due to having frozen pipes. Matt came up after hours and helped me out. He told me what I needed to replace and to call in the morning to set up an appointment. I called and talked to Tiffany and she got me an appointment right away. There technician Ron and Brian came and replaced my heat tape and my pressure switch and did a wonderful job. They notice my switch for my cellar light was bad and changed that also. I just want to say Thank you!

Seriously wish there was an option for zero stars. Please do not ever contract with this company for electrical. My house almost caught on fire because the guys have no idea what they are doing. Terrible service, came back multiple times and was a complete waste of money. They made the problem worse than from when I started and didn't care to fix it. The women rolled her eyes when she was asked to take a apart an electric fireplace they were paid to look at refused to do it. Wish I was able to get a refund for the terrible experience and additional money I needed to spend to get my electrical properly fixed.

Seriously wish there was an option for zero stars. Please do not ever contract with this company for electrical. My house almost caught on fire because the guys have no idea what they are doing. Terrible service, came back multiple times and was a complete waste of money. They made the problem worse than from when I started and didn't care to fix it. The women rolled her eyes when she was asked to take a apart an electric fireplace they were paid to look at refused to do it. Wish I was able to get a refund for the terrible experience and additional money I needed to spend to get my electrical properly fixed.

Called Dons to see if water heater was bad. Like any other person had to go to work since my wife would be home. The tech came out and took the cover off the water heater that apparently had caught fire. Got charged 320.00 for the tech to take a cover off and disconnect wires even though the breaker was already off. Went to talk to owner about charges and he stated that since the tech had taken his tools out (a screwdriver) that there was nothing he could do! Got charged service fee and diagnostic fee for about 5 minutes of work, half the price of new water heater. Needless to say I went and bought one somewhere else after getting a 2100.00 quote for new water heater and installation after the 320.00 already charged. He also said something about going somewhere else for the water heater!! The office workers were also no help and kind of rude saying they typed in there computer that they told my wife the price asking the owner if he wanted her to print it out! Would not recommend.

Would not recommend. The man that came out was rude, and talked down to me. He explained that in order to have the fuse that I thought was blown replaced, there would be a diagnostic fee ($198) and a service fee ($99, Just for him to show up) and that the total would come to $320.97. I told him that seemed like a lot as I know the part is about $40 and the job takes about 5 minutes. He told me sorry but that's the rate do you want me to fix it or not? Unfortunately I had already been waiting 4 days for him to be available to come up and it was winter time and because of the fuse being out I had no heat, so I had to agree to it. 5 minutes later he tells me, oh never mind, the box just wasn't screwed in tightly, I screwed it in tightly and your fuse doesn't need to be replaced but the price stands. 5 minutes of work and no parts, $320.97. I will never call them back again.

Came out for an electronic water heater not working. Water heater only 6-7 years old. Was told "after diagnosing" that I needed to either have existing one rebuilt or to buy a brand new one from them. Rebuilding existing water heater would be 1000.00 less than a new one installed for 2,200.00. They also tried to "sell me" a monthly membership for better pricing and to include draining tank to remove sediment. Was charged 100.00 for them to come out and 80.00 for diagnosis. I told them I would have to think about it and still no solution to the problem. Had someone else come out same day. Tank did not need to be replaced since it wasn't leaking. Elements inside tank were bad and thermostat was in working order. Elements were replaced/problem solved for less than what I was charged by this company to just come out.

Don’t use these guys ever…. Had pool electric hooked up as well as a pool heater and they had to come back multiple times.The heater finally works after learning they didn’t provide enough energy to the unit but we were told we had faulty equipment with the pool light.After coming back to attempt to fix the pool light we were threatened with a service charge as they stated we had a faulty switch.We hired a reputable company which fixed their mistakes and confirmed the equipment which was brand new works.Never Again - so much for trying to support a small business

The first time I call this company I was impressed by Matt came out and help me big time , a little pricey. But happy!The second time was for a bathroom sink ,clogged the easiest job !! The guy didn’t even try to remove p trap , quick to say we need a vent ,The next day I opened the trap and checked pipe wow hair !! Btw service call $109 .The third time is a charm , I call because Tenant didn’t have heat , the guy didn’t check the system , if he did he would’ve notice air entered the system quick fix bleed out water and done,, instead he tell tenant you need a new thermostat ,so what was I to do ,, that’s my tenant ,go ahead $490 for a thermostat/ service call ,, Buy the way thermostat is only $60 and two screws with two wires…This place is a rip off why do this to the people in Canajoharie ,we support you guys!!!
