Stylist Joanna richards was amazing her genuine kindness and attention was exactly what I needed and wanted. I cannot recommend her enough. I got a grey blend highlight and had cut and it’s exactly what I was looking for . I also love the set up and atmosphere and judgement free zone . I also bought some products but never felt pressured to . 10/10“

“There’s such an amazing atmosphere at this salon, every single stylist is accepting and welcoming and will talk to you regardless of whose chair you’re in. You can tell the vibe here is they’re all like a family, and while they all have their own specialities and careers, they aren’t afraid to bounce questions/pro tips off each other.

On top of the bomb atmosphere, the sheer ✨ART✨ that comes out of this salon is incredible. The vivid work is of course insane! While I have a more natural color now, Jordan herself has mermaid-ed me a few times, and not a day went by where I didn’t get a compliment on my hair color (for MONTHS after each session too, their vivids lasttttt).

My hair is very difficult to manage; it’s wavy, coarse, and there’s a ton of it. I leave every appointment feeling like a new person with smooth and manageable hair. On top of Jordan working magic, she also explains everything and gives tips for at-home care in a way that’s easy to understand.

“I had initially visited this salon because I won a color and highlight service. Right away, I loved how stylish and open it felt. There were drinks and some cookies to enjoy. Abby was my stylist and carefully listened to what I wanted and I showed her pictures of my own hair when I've liked how it's been done before. I really struggle with finding a place where I like the cut and any color I've gotten so I was nervous. Abby really delivered on giving me a super natural looking color with some dimension from the highlights in a warm blonde/copper. The placement of the highlights was perfect and it didn't look striped or unnatural. Just blended and very pretty whether I wore my hair curly or straightened it. I paid for my second visit a few months later. I got a cut/trim and had it re-toned with a bit more copper/light brown. My hair looked and felt great! The color from last time had grown/faded so nicely. The cut didn't take too much length but got rid of the split ends so my hair actually grew in a noticeable way. My mom is going to switch to this salon instead of her regular place because of how nice my hair has looked, the results of other customer's that she saw in the salon, and the atmosphere. I can't believe this place doesn't have a lot of reviews but they have only been open a year. If you are looking for a modern but relaxed salon with a variety of different stylists to choose from, I'd highly recommend you try it here. I'm so so picky about my hair to the point where I'd rather go a year without getting it cut or colored vs getting it done somewhere I'm not too sure about. (Yes this has happened). I've had some really unpleasant salon experiences in this area. Salon 1533 is unlike any other salon I've been to. They use a variety of quality brands of hair products, have knowledgeable stylists that actually listen, and this allows you to actually relax.“

“The first thing I noticed when I walked into Lori's Salon was how clean & organized it was. There were several hair stylists there with clients. It smelled wonderful & I felt very relaxed. I was there for Lazer treatment on some stubborn hairs on my chin. First, Lori circled the hairs that she was targeting. Then Lori had me lay on her treatment table. She was very gentle & I barely felt a thing. It took less then 15 minutes.
I would highly recommend Lori for any Lazer treatment that she offers.“

From my research most of the places you can go in the capital region aren't real looking and offer a realistic option when you have hair loss.
