My husband and I contacted Brian and Christina after we had to postpone (and ultimately downsize) our wedding due to the pandemic, and in retrospect, we are over the moon that they were available and our original photographer wasn’t able to make it to our rescheduled celebration. The Shaws were such a better "fit" for our personalities and wedding day!Leading up to our wedding date, the Shaws were communicative and easygoing, and even though my husband and I didn’t have a chance to have an engagement session with Brian in advance, when he arrived on our wedding day, we both felt like we had known him for a long time. Because our celebration was so small, there were moments when my husband or I were completely alone with Brian as he took photos of us getting ready, and he was both a photographer and a friend. We really, really loved his documentary style. Even my mom, who hates getting her photo taken, was able to relax without receiving a flurry of posing directions.During our ceremony, Brian was so stealthy that we have no recollection of him being there (but the photos captured every moment!), and during our golden hour “couple portraits,” he encouraged us to be ourselves as we chased him around a big, open field to get the best shot. On our honeymoon, we laughed that Brian seemed like a little kid hopped up on sunlight in that moment; his excitement was contagious, and it exactly matched the joyous energy of our wedding day! We couldn’t have imagined a better fit for us as a couple or our family even before we saw the images.And let’s talk about the photos – they’re completely breathtaking! We will cherish them forever and ever. 100% recommend the Shaws for anyone looking to capture the "in the moment" magic of their wedding day.

Christina and Brian are a great husband/wife team of wedding photographers. We have used them repeatedly for family sessions and LOVE all of the photos they take of our family...they even know how to get our dog to sit for photos ;). I would highly recommend them to others and wish I could get married over again to have them take our wedding photos!
