I wish there were more than five stars to give them. * * * * * * * Wonderful people operating this establishment. It took me years to find someone who could do a really nice looking job on my hair, and then repeat it with the same great results every time. As if that's not enough, they make me laugh every time I visit them. Try them, you won't be disappointed...

I've now been getting my haircut by Daniel (and occasionally Gabriel) for over 10 years at Smith Street Barbershop. They do a phenomenal job and the price is reasonable. They're a real asset to the neighborhood.

As a long-time area resident (32 years), I have seen many of the old-time barbers who were in the area retire or die, so it was a great pleasure to find these guys several years ago and I have been a loyal customer ever since. The shop is steps away from the subway entrance, which makes it convenient to get a haircut on the way to or from work. The hours are great but be aware that the shop is closed on Saturdays (open Sundays from 9 AM - 7 PM). Reasonable prices. Neighbors have commented that they are good with kids (no first hand knowledge). In addition to standard haircuts, I have also had a trim and shape of my beard and Gabriel did an excellent job.
