The stylists are incredible, taking extra care and are so much fun to talk to. They ask questions to make sure clients are styled in the exact way they want to feel their best, amazing and beautiful. Diego is gentle and incredible, while Kinga did an incredible job cutting curly hair. Chad is an incredible stylist and Dominique is so sweet, funny, and talented. The salon is described as well-run, professional, approachable, and stylish. It is a favorite salon that clients truly could not recommend more.
I'm a multi-tasker. My favorite thing about Salon Dumbo is that I can take a nap during cut and color, and ALWAYS come out with EXACTLY what I requested. Chad's color process is gentle on your hair, but also lasts beyond the average of most salons.
Being neurodivergent, Chad knows some days that I will be in a conversational mood, and others I just want zen / solitude. He is respectul and thoughtful of those needs, and can anticipate either space without even needing to ask.
I travel from outside the neighborhood to go here, and I wouldn't go any other place after trying several salons from Chelsea to the UWS - including Sally Hershberger and Fekkai. Salon...read full review
I booked here through ClassPass, blindly -which is wild for me, considering I’m a bit crazy about my hair. But I was desperate to get some brightness after the full winter, and that brightness came in the form of Dominique! She was great from the start, really friendly, took the time to talk through what I wanted and really listened, and was sure to convey back to me what she heard before starting the process. I went in for a blow out on Valentine’s Day and Dominique took the best care of me. She was so friendly and had great advice on how to take care of my hair. I absolutely loved my blow out and will definitely be going back to her! 10/10 would recommend!
