I've been going to miGak for manicures for a while. All the nail techs have been great. I can never plan ahead enough to go to one person. At least 6-7 people have done my manicures. I tend to get 60-90 minute nail art, most found on Pinterest. The health of my nails is much better since I've been going to miGak consistently. It's my natural nails, no extensions needed. The polish and the removal do not destroy my nails like Vanity Projects and other comparable nail shops. Everyone is sweet. I book online at Vagaro. You do need to plan ahead. I usually book my appointment right after I get my manicure. I can usually go 4-5 weeks and I rarely have chipped nails.

I really like this studio! It's clean, easy to get to (with the instructions provided), and a central location for anybody in and around prospect heights. Ive been super happy with the shaping and care put into my nails here. I had my first appointment about 5 months ago and have been back every 3-4 weeks. Each artist I have worked with has been friendly, welcoming, and incredibly talented. At this point, I've really been across the board from focusing on growing out my nails (w/ extensions) to challenging the artists with a new nail art idea on my natural nails. I will say, regular maintenance with nail art can run $145+ (which includes tip) per appointment depending on length of time the art takes, but my sets have really lasted well with no breakage or chipping so I keep going back. Once you book your appointment, you can send your inspo to the texting line and they'll chat with the artist you booked and let you know if it will be 15/30/60/90 minute nail art. Also, my schedule is super variable with work travel so the first time I had to cancel sort of last minute (their policy is no charge if you cancel more than 24 hours in advance) to travel, I couldn't re-book in with the artist I'd been working with. I was concerned that there would be a difference in quality with the new artist(s) but I was totally wrong. Every artist I've worked with has been great! Special shoutout to the following artists for the sets in the photos: - Airi (green-shifting cat eye set, gold and pearl set, & glazed nude set) - Abby (blue lobster set) - Reimi (gradient gem set) [Edited above to help clarify that the $145+ for 15+ minute nail art is including tip]

had such a wonderful experience with Yuko She is not only incredibly skilled but also so professional and detail-oriented. My nails have never looked better -- the shape, the polish, and the overall finish were absolutely perfect. She took her time to make sure everything was done right, and I really appreciated her care and precision. Yuko did an excellent job Highly recommend yuko if you're looking for someone who's talented, friendly, and truly passionate about what she does. I'll definitely be coming back!
