This was a great find. The $10 senior cut is certainly a bargain and Marko, who has owned the business for almost three decades, could not be nicer. There is another "Joe's" a few blocks away, but this is the original and has been in operation since the 1940s.
It's all about convenience in Brooklyn...and a quick cut RIGHT at the top of the subway stairs is a compelling argument. Maybe I get in right away because of the lack of customers...but offer an olive branch. That's what we need today. I did...in the form of a 10 second conversation...and got a "better" cut. Well...he broke out his higher number sheer guide and I have a buzz cut. Is it great? No. Is it better than my wife doing it? Maybe. No...YES... YES...it's better. Easier. This guy is ok. Give him a try.
