I’ve been to Darlene a multiple times throughout the past five years and this time the energy in the salon was just very unwelcoming. I brought my aunt in who was visiting from out of town & on a time crunch to ask a couple questions because she was confused on what to book on styleseat. Everyone in the salon was just unwelcoming and really not helpful. Very unfortunate because she does good work but the attitude is just too much. I tried to attribute it to that Caribbean New York vibe but it’s become very off putting, especially cause you’re paying a lot for the services.

I've gone here twice and have left happy both times. Darlene does my hair and does a really good job. She's cut my hair and done finger waves and I love both services. Will definitely go back. My cut was $81 and she charged me an additional $45 for my Fingerwaves. I booked her on StyleSeat and they charge your card an hour after your appointment automatically. And she's an ok school stylist I didn't have to come with my hair already washed

I had to make my way after many years not coming here because I moved upstate, it was a must that I get my hair done with Darlene for my 40th bday, I love that I even share the same birthday as her APRIL 17TH. This was such an Amazing salon, i love the location and this place feels very cosy... They are very busy and im sure very well known in the neighborhood, so she must be doing something right...I was more than happy with my end result my hair was curled, shiny and trimmed. Just what I needed. Darlene is Verry talented and has such a personable character she will never disappoint... Highly recomand this place and the team!
