About Equinox Williamsburg
Equinox Williamsburg is a fitness club that offers an unparalleled member experience. While the location is decently sized, the layout can be confusing, with the main gym floor on the upper level and locker rooms/yoga room on the lower level. The club features innovative programming, rejuvenating amenities, and renowned instruction, including a recovery haus area where members can relax. However, the cleanliness of the locker rooms is an area for improvement, with reports of black mold and disorganization. The gym can be crowded during peak times, making it difficult to access equipment or changing rooms. The staff is a highlight, but the small size of the location and limited amenities make it difficult for members to get the most out of their membership. Some members have also expressed frustration with the lack of a single location membership tier, which would provide more value for Williamsburg users. Despite its flaws, Equinox Williamsburg offers a unique and rejuvenating experience, making it a worthwhile option for those seeking a high-end fitness experience.
This gym is the reason I left equinox. I used to have an all-access through work and would frequently go in Manhattan, but when I moved to Williamsburg it became harder to visit a bunch of different gyms so I decided to just stick with one location.Equinox as a brand is truly nice. They don't have sufficient locations in Brooklyn and overcrowding is clearly a problem they've avoided addressing if you look at the reviews. Also the comments are right, the staff can be a little stand-offish.I was considering rejoining Equinox but it...read full review
I think this location is really nice! It's decently sized considering everything around the area is tiny so it actually is pretty big considering that but the layout is kind of weird because you have to go upstairs for main gym floor then you have to back downstairs for the locker rooms/yoga room. It's nice that they have multiple fridges filled with the wet towels that smell divine!! And the one other cool thing is that they have the recovery haus thing where you can just float and relax. With all that said though, the reason for just the 3 stars is because the cleanliness could be a lot better in the locker rooms. There was a lot of black mold around the shower booths...read full review
Crowded during any peak time. Fine if you can use it during weekdays before 4pm. Needs an East Williamsburg Location. Also the heaviest dumbbell weights are near the floor and slightly underneath the lighter weights. So difficult to access the heavy dumbbells without risking your lower back.
