Cypress Hills Mausoleum in San Diego is a beautiful, and peaceful place to lie your loved one’s urn. It is surrounded by beautiful statues and stained glass. Axel did a great job helping us arrange the celebration of life and ceremony for my mom He put us ease in helping us make decisions. Sandra was amazing with details in assisting us with setting up my mom’s alter, flowers, videos, and seating. Sandra set the stage for our celebration and it all flowed very well. We are so joyful that we chose this place knowing my mom will rest peacefully here.

I got to finally go to my grandmother’s grave and visit some of my ancestors, including James McCune Smith my great great great grandfather. A little overgrown but not bad. I also went to Jackie Robinson’s grave and saw several others around the cemetery.

My family and I have been visiting CHC nearly yearly since 1990 when my grandmother passed away. The land has been consistently well cared for. They even have trash receptacles just in case. I normally bring a large jug of water because the water spigot is a bit of a walk from where my grandmother is buried. I'd also imagine that the spigot is shut off during winter to prevent water from freezing and damaging the pipes. Normally I go to Glendale Florist about a few blocks away from the cemetery for a bouquets of flowers and cemetery cones but there are many other similar businesses in the area too.
