I purchased a second-hand double breasted suit that I needed help with. Through several visits Chasing Tailor helped me to fine tune the fit. We brought in the waist on the jacket, lengthened the sleeves, and let out the seat in the pants. We got lucky that there was enough fabric left to work with - he bailed me out of what could have been an expensive mistake. He turned this suit into a weapon.Since then I've taken in several other less complicated projects with equal success. If you are exacting with your fit, it's a good idea to leave the tailor with enough time to dial everything in.Service: Alterations

It’s so difficult to find a quality tailor with great insight in NYC. It seems to be a dying craft, and I’m so happy to have found Chasing Tailor. They helped me tailor a suit to make it a bit more custom and sleek for a wedding I was attending. Expect to pay more than your typical dry cleaner, but for a good reason. I’d highly recommend and plan to go back for my next alterations.

Arthur is an absolute gem, incredibly reasonable for the quality of work, and worth every penny. I've gone here for everything from a simple pant hem to a dress that needed a rather complicated lining reconstruction. He nails it every time. If he doesn't think a garment would benefit from tailoring, he'll tell you. His specialty sewing machines can do alterations that your average dry-cleaner-tailor could never compare to.He's also just a fabulous person, a joy to talk to and learn about, and that's reflected in his beautiful art-filled space. Go go go!
