My Macbook air 2020 stopped working because of some spillage, apple store would charge me $750 and they would need to send it somewhere and would have to go through a process of at least a week, let alone the couple of hours I was in line just to get attended.
Mike from Brooklin PC Clinic saw me within an hour from contacting me, took my laptop in (it was Saturday afternoon) and by Monday afternoon brought it back to life and hand it to me for $250.

Apple quoted me over $700 to fix a malfunctioning keyboard, saying they had to replace the topcase. These guys got it done for $275 and replaced a dead trackpad as well. Very happy a friend encouraged me to try out a indie repair place - I was seriously considering just buying a brand new computer. Now I am typing away happily on my fully functioning keyboard and have at least another 1-2 years of life left in my vintage Macbook Pro, ha.
