About Shanghai Red
Shanghai Red is a business that offers a unique blend of Asian and Latin food and music. The business has a well-stocked bar with reasonable happy hour prices until 7 pm, featuring $5 drinks and $20 beer buckets. Hookah is also available for those who are interested. The business has a spacious floor for dancing, although most people tend to sit and lounge. The Picadera appetizer platter is abundant, serving up to six people for $30. The business has a coat check requirement of $3 and provides a photographer on Thursdays, creating a party atmosphere with strobe lights and a DJ playing a variety of music, including oldies from the 80s and current hits in both Spanish and English. The food served is tasty, well-seasoned, and flavorful, with a great variety of Asian and Latino dishes. The presentation of the food is also noted to be fresh, savory, and visually appealing. However, there was a delay in the service of beverages, particularly for a bottle of wine and a bucket of beers. The business has clean and stocked bathrooms, and street parking is available. There is a possibility of outdoor seating during warmer weather. Overall, Shanghai Red is a great spot for a lively and enjoyable dining experience.
Yes yes! I would recommend this spot. Took a while for my food to come out BUT I got over it quickly. The food was hot and full of flavor with all the Hispanic flavors that I grew up loving! It's not on the menu but I ordered thin cut grilled chicken, rice, beans and maduros (I was happy that they were sweet!) My group ordered the sample large platter, which had a little bit of everything. I had two Henny coladas. Then I had a rum and coke (which is more my speed) the bill was about $400 for a group of 8. My server was Rachel and she was lovely! Def an asset to the team. Overall very cool vibe! Decent decor, great mixture of music. The DJ played raggaeton, hip hop, and old skool. Great time. Come see for yourself.

It was a Thursday night, I did not expect it to be that lively. A great surprise. There was a mandatory coat check which I think was good because they do have hookah and high top tables, that avoid any accidents. They had a photographer there taking pictures, a dj, strobe lights--- when I say it was a party vibe... it was a PARTY VIBE.Food was amazing. They have a great variety of Asian and Latino food. I didn't see many fusion items it was more of Asian Menu/Latin Menu. Either way the food was fresh, savory, and presented well. One little thing about the service, our appetizers came and we finished it--- the beverages still hadn't arrived. Worse part is that it was a...read full review
