We originally signed our mowing contract with Doug Vargo, the original owner of DV Lawn Maintenance. We agreed on a rate and paid in full for the entire mowing season. Then suddenly at the beginning of August, we get an unprofessional-looking letter in the mail telling us that the business has been taken over by a new owner, Michael Butcavage, and he wants a copy of our contract. After sending him our contract he tells us that the rate we paid was too low and demands more money to continue mowing. This is a fraudulent business. We signed a mowing contract with the owner, Doug Vargo, paid in full for the whole season. Midway through the season, we get an unprofessional looking letter in the mail telling us that the business is being taken over by someone else, named Michael Butcavage. This person literally wrote that he is the new owner of the company and will strive to complete the necessary services, and asks to us to send a copy of our contract, which will "ensure that he will continue to provide the service as agreed between us and Doug, at the same price".
