My phone had potentially been compromised via a link that I accidentally clicked, and my bank wanted me to go somewhere to get my phone checked out or cleaned before restoring my credentials. I had messaged a live chat agent on the Best Buy/Geek Squad website, and as you can see in the attached photo, they said that this is something that a Geek Squad member could do in person.
So they scheduled me an appointment, and then days later after a half hour drive to get there and killing time before the appointment, once I talk to someone at Gerk Squad, they tell me that checking the phone for spyware, etc. is not something they can do.

ALWAYS have Great Experiences at this Location from ALL the Representatives. The last two visits i had 2024 phone transferred onto 2025 phone. The Reps are 100% fully attentive, detail orientated, and finish my requests completely. Shout out to Rep. Grayson very informative, Mgr. Dan spent a long time saving old info, and another Rep. who assisted with making a $2.04 payment in the midst of a transfer, which then a new transfer had to begin to be sure ALL data was on the 2025 model phone.
I have been having problems with my pixel 7a ever since I bought it in April, 2024. It's
hard for me to even articulate all the user unfriendly features that I've been struggling with the last 10 months...however, yesterday Grayson listened and worked through everything, explaining all that was relevant and actually converting it to be extremely user friendly. I can hardly believe it's the same phone.
Grayson is a huge asset to The Geek Squad. I so appreciate all your patience and expertise and can't thank you enough, Grayson!
