Sinister Shears is a salon that provides absolutely phenomenal and amazing service. It is a great place for kids' haircuts, going out of its way to make the experience special and not scary. The stylist is incredibly friendly, patient, and super patient, taking the time to get to know clients, listen to what they want, and explain what is going on. She ensures you leave loving your hair. The salon is perfect for squirmy littles and toddlers, even those who do not sit still. It is fast and affordable. The decor features skulls, skeletons, and black, but the environment is welcoming for children with toys in the lobby, Disney movies playing, and a car chair for the littles. They provide a baby’s first haircut certificate with a picture and a lock of hair. Kids often get stickers or little toys after a cut. Many families, having gone for years, recommend it highly as their new salon and go out of their way for the experience. It is definitely one of the best experiences, leaving clients feeling very happy and refreshed.
Michaela did an amazing job on my son’s haircut! She was incredibly friendly and took the time to get to know us. We’ve been going to GreatClips for years and we got so tired of not being heard on what we wanted. Thankfully some moms pointed me here and I’m so happy we went!
This is definitely going to be our families new salon!
Absolutely phenomenal service. I cannot say enough good things about this place! Michaela was amazing with my non verbal 2 1/2 year old. He does not sit still and she found a way to give him the cutest little hair cut. They also give you a baby’s first haircut certificate with a picture and a lock of hair for your memories. ❤️ We definitely will be coming back and I’ll even be booking services for myself.
We love Michaela and Sinister Shears for cutting our toddler's hair! I'm sure many places in town cut kids hair, but not a ton advertise it or go out of their way to make it special/not scary, but Sinister Shears is one of them. Even though the decor is skulls and skeletons and black, it couldn't be a better place for kids! They have toys in the lobby and usually some sort of Disney movie playing, as well as a car chair for the littles to sit in. They're super patient and explain what's going on to the kids, and make it not scary at all. My son has even gotten stickers or little toys after a cut, which really is just the cherry on top to show they care. Plus, it's FAST which is perfect for squirmy littles, and affordable. I don't live close to here but I go out of my way to bring my son because of the experience!
