I have been a patient at Pritchet Eye Care in Los Altos, Sparks, NV, for many years. Dr. Paterson is excellent, and the entire staff is very professional and kind. Mrs. Lucy, in particular, is incredibly kind and exceptionally professional. She is definitely a valuable asset to the office.
The Doctor was very knowledgeable and nice. The manager who helped me with my contacts and picking and paying for mine and my sons frames. Was knowledgeable and nice. She helped get my sons glasses covered by the correct insurance I wanted to cover them. The receptionist who had her hair in braids was not so nice and was not customer friendly when questioned about insurances, and why information I had provided on the phone two weeks earlier was not aligned with how I wanted to conduct mine and my sons business with them. I have been coming to Pritchett Eye Care since 2013, except for 2023–2024 when my family temporarily moved to Missouri. Throughout all the years we’ve gone there, the staff has always been friendly, welcoming, and courteous. I have never had an issue with anyone in the office. Dr. Tim McDonald is amazing and truly one of the best doctors I’ve ever met.
My concern is with some of the recent changes the office has made. Patients are now being required to pay $45 for the retinal eye exam, whereas in the past it was always optional.
