SUCH a great business in our community! Urban Roots is a teaching farm that offers kids camps, adult workshops, and many events throughout the year. I've visited for a few of the Dead Plant Society classes, and have found them all to be super informative and fun! Parking is a breeze as well. Most recently I visited for their Holiday Fair, and it was such a nice set up with vendors scattered throughout the farm and in the hoop houses, coffee and crafts and photos with Santa. Definitely check them out for a great family friendly experience!

The class itself was so great! It ran over the scheduled time, but other than that, it was full of great information and hands-on experiences. They had snacks and coffee available and raffle prizes. I will definitely be back for more classes and programs here! If you're a teacher, you can take select workshops for free and get professional development credits towards license... read full review

My kid had to choose the largest stick available and then complained when we couldn't take it home. There was a snack table with fresh fruit, popcorn and yes, some cookies. There was even a drink station... read full review
