This was my first spa experience ever. 46 years old, never been to a spa before. From the first timers perspective. This was an enjoyable experience. There is unfamiliarity so I don't know if it's exponentially better, but this first time event was very enjoyable. The service requested was the couples hot stone massage. The website on an iOS was not user friendly and became frustrating to try to book the service. A phone call did the trick. Showing up we were greeted well, filled out the necessary paperwork and were led away to change for our comfort. My hubby and I decided to check out The Refuge Spa for a fun afternoon together. We booked the Pedi Party for Two, which includes two pedicures, two drinks, and a snack platter for two. We filled out our pre-visit questionnaires and I was sure to indicate that I have celiac - so no food, lotions, or anything containing gluten. The spa called me to let me know that they currently only have one nail tech but that they'd be happy to still book and we'd just need longer for the service. We were totally fine with this. love it here! best deep tissue massage by Lindsay! so relaxing, clean and wonderful facilities, and the entire staff is fantastic and super friendly. They have a bar where you can get food and snacks. The lavender matcha latte is Great! Also, love love love the tallow lavender balm in the shop! My go to face cream now! Will continue to go back again and again! ask about the membership! so well worth it!
