We used the same accountant as the year prior. Upon doing our taxes for the 2023 year, it was determined that our taxes were done incorrectly for the 2022 year. Lisa Bagley also did them wrong for the 2023 year, so twice in a row. She said we owed over 12k in taxes. The reason we started with her was because my husband was 1099 and we needed help as neither of us had done those taxes before. She said she could help us. She then blamed us for everything because she didn't ask us any questions and we trusted that she would let us know what she needed to do her job. I used this company to do my taxes. I was happy with them and had no issues. Then the following happened. I am including word for word exchanges between myself and their employees/owner. She wrote the letter, it was handled. Issue resolved. Fast forward to APRIL I get an invoice from this company for $300+ for writing the letter to the IRS. She never advised me of charges, if she had I would have declined and figured out another solution. I fully believed what she was doing was a service extended to customers when issues with taxes they file come up. I paid her $400+ to do my taxes surely writing a letter for 5 minutes would be covered somehow? I am not charged per email, same task...Then to wait to invoice 5 months later?! Absolutely out of line. I offered to pay $50 but she rudely declined. She has since sent me to collections. I will report to the BBB but she wanted to make sure everyone is aware.

I had an issue with my returns from my previous CPA, and Lisa was not only able to correct those mistakes, but also found tax credits in my favor from previous years. Hiring her as my CPA was well worth my money.
