The facility is nice, with a pleasant waiting area. The team goes above and beyond, taking extra time to educate and address concerns, making patients feel valued and respected. The professional staff at St Mary’s Radiologic imaging are the best I have met in Reno. The nurses call in advance and provide instructions in the warmest way (in addition to written reminders). The pre procedure admission care on scheduled day is provided by the expert and caring nurses in the Surgical pre-op care area. When Interventional Radiology is ready, you are escorted by a caring staff member. The nurses, imaging techs and doctors do everything to prepare you, ease anxiety, ensure you are familiar with all that will be done and keep you pain free and comfortable. Checked in at St.Mary's Reno , nice facility, with Lake Tahoe framed photos in small waiting area. My ultrasound found previously missed or uncertain issue by having a standing, rather than lying down, exam. So much better tech than at Urgent Care. Results forwarded to my Primary Care and they left a voicemail for me. Exactly one month later, rcvd. a text bill & paid a reasonable co-pay.
I saw Wendy who was my US technician ,to say she was patient with me is an understatement. She shared all her knowledge about dense breast tissue and how that changes over time to become less so making having a Mammogram favorable since I wasn't sure. She said educating patients is important and I had to become 55 yrs old ,leave CA 6 mo ago to find this out...Thank you Wendy for not rushing your patients or treating them like a nr. I know this because I saw her treat her next patient who was scared and crying like a friend . I have a fear of driving and the 1/2 hr to get there was worth it. BTW Wendy mentioned I only had to come bk next year since she realized my fear of driving...I mean ...ABOVE AND BEYOND BRAVO
