“I've been dealing with TMJ pain for about 2 years now. The pain I get can be debilitating where I need to stay in bed all day. I am currently 28 weeks pregnant. I got a random muscle spasm in my neck that prevented me from moving my head, and in turn severely limited my mobility.

Initially, I spoke to two different doctors about this and tried conventional methods: warm compress, ice pack, Tylenol, lidocaine. It was mostly ineffective and the pain was still very present. After four days of this, my husband encouraged me to try acupuncture.

The appointment was on my stomach, but Dr. Joey adjusted the table to make enough space for my bump! He made sure I was as comfortable as possible. The needles only felt like little pinches. I only felt something when they went in, not when they were already inside.

After he removed the needles, I was able to move my head again! I couldn't believe it! This was such a life changing experience.
