I initially started taking ballet classes with a different studio in town (which I do still very much enjoy). However, after starting with those classes I started researching ballet quite a bit and learned about the different styles of teachings (Chechetti, French, Italian, Vaganova, etc…). I came across the Vaganova (Russian) style/teachings and absolutely fell in love with the precision of the movements and how classical it is vs the neoclassical movements of other styles. If you want to learn Russian Vaganova ballet method, this is the place to be. I have been a student of this studio for almost a year and I have seen improvement in my technique. I attend the Adult Intermediate class with Dmitry Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12-1:30PM. Steps really get broken down in order to achieve the technique that dancers strive for. We get a complete barre, center and across the floor exercises to strengthen our bodies. During the fall there are opportunities to be apart of the Winter Showcase which has been the Nutcracker.
