This review is for the Southwest Medical Laboratory & Blood collection center 540 N Nellis Blvd, Las Vegas, NV. I am so grateful for the people at this location I have always had great experiences for my own draws but I am ESPECIALLY impressed with how Susie R. did with my 6 year old daughters draw. Susie R. and Jill were amazing in keeping my daughter calm and reassured. They were quick and relatively painless! My little one was super scared but thank goodness I was able to see them to make the experience as easy as possible. Im even more impressed by the healing of the draw sight. No bruising in sight just a tiny little pinhole from the draw! Thank you thank you thank you lady's for making a scary experience an easy one!
I've been going to Southwest Medical Center for over 30 years. Before I retired, they were the HMO that was connected to my insurance. Now that I'm on Medicare I saw no reason to switch. Over the years I've had both good and bad experiences but I'd just like to critique my most recent experience. I had an appointment at 10:30 to see my primary care APRN, Maria Kota. I arrived early and checked in. At exactly 10:30 a very nice young lady came and took me back to the exam room and did the normal vital sign checking. She left and a few minutes later Ms. Kota came in. She said she had been going over my chart and apologized for the minor wait. It was obvious she had familiarized herself with my situation (besides her I have a wonderful cardiologist, Tatiana Tsvetkova, as well as having seen other specialists since I last saw Maria.) We spent what I thought was a great deal of time going over my conditions. Besides being knowledgeable, she was very attentive and caring. But, and here's the kicker, later, around 6:30 in the evening, I received a call from Maria. She had been going back over our visit and she called to ask how long it had been since I had taken a certain (old guy) medical test. My point is, she had been working all day (I asked her) and at 6:30 in the evening she was still "going over our visit." I'm certain she was going over other patient visits as well. I'm impressed.
