“Joy Squad is an aptly named business because they truly bring joy wherever they go.

My sister in law , a member of Delta Sigma Theta, was participating in the Juneteenth celebration on Water Street in downtown Henderson. The organization had a 10x10 tent set up outside in the Las Vegas heat, where temperatures were around 101 degrees. The Deltas needed a photo booth with a custom backdrop featuring the colors of the Juneteenth flag. We contacted several photo booth companies and none were able to accommodate the request. Some needed more time, while others raised legitimate concerns that the extreme heat could cause the equipment to overheat and shut down.

When we contacted Joy Squad, Thomas and Leslie didn’t dismiss those concerns. They acknowledged the challenges and agreed that the heat presented a real risk to the equipment. The difference was that they didn’t stop there. Thomas approached the problem like an engineer. He designed and configured an additional cooling system with supplemental fans to ensure the photo booth could operate reliably throughout the event. Instead of saying, “It can’t be done,” he adapted to the situation, found a solution, and delivered on his promise. In addition, Thomas and Leslie created the exact custom backdrop the Deltas envisioned, paying attention to every detail. The photo booth performed flawlessly despite the extreme temperatures, and the photos looked fantastic.
