I’m an Aveda graduate. Once you study at Aveda it becomes home for life. The place has that loving vibe. ❤️Love John the owner and Gale is so warm and affectionate, such wonderful people. After all these years I still go back for a Tulsara facial and use Aveda products for my regime from their toner, refiner, clay masque, facial cleaner to Bergamot essential oil for infinity air. Even though I trained in Elemis as an educated from UK later. I find the ingredients of Aveda & Elemis comparable & natural. Aveda products are fresher as it’s US based. Elemis can be harder to get shipped from Philly distributers and price points higher as £ conversion causes it. Aveda like everything else has also gone up $$. It’s interesting how you become a holistic person after schooling with them as an esthetician. You become aware of energy and how important it is to balance it. You appreciate the holistic approach to facials and never settle for what else the market offers. Only thing I don’t like about going to the Aveda Institute is the big man standing at the reception. He never has a smile which Aveda instructors promote as part of customer service in their discovery. He has a tendency to talk down to you in a discriminatory way. He’s annoyed if you take long to decide on products or want to refund a product and doesn’t fit the Aveda vibe. He’s way too pushy and makes one feel uncomfortable by rushing guests. Just not the right energy. As a puzzle he’s the piece that does not fit. Impatience is not a virtue, compassion is as we are in the nurturing business right? I meant to tell Gale today that as each time I go I have to deal with him. We have had really nice receptionists there like Carly when I was there. Who were super friendly. He would be a reason I may stop going there..They need someone who welcomes guest not someone rushing guests obnoxiously so he can move onto the next. His job is to make people feel welcomed not the other way around. Other than that the place is haven that infuses its culture into you for life. Once an Aveda always an Aveda. Yup!
