However, the resort features beautiful thermal pools and hot mineral spring pools that are very relaxing, especially after a day exploring the mountains or visiting the historic city of Genoa, which is about 25 minutes away. Many guests have enjoyed the food and drinks at the 1862 restaurant, which was praised as really good. The location requires a car, as there is no shuttle service, and Uber can be hard to find. The resort is beautiful and secluded from the noise and traffic of Tahoe, providing a peaceful getaway. Some rooms, like Room 2312 in the Bodie building, have experienced water pressure issues, with fluctuations and low water flow, which have been somewhat inconvenient. Overall, the resort is a friendly place with amenities like game rooms with pool tables and ping pong, making it a good choice for families and travelers seeking a relaxing holiday experience.
I had a great stay at David Walley’s Resort. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax and unwind. I especially loved the peaceful environment it felt like a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle.
The surroundings were beautiful, and the overall atmosphere was calm and inviting. It’s a wonderful place to recharge and enjoy some quiet time.

Nice place to stay and rooms are fully equipped. Can stay for days. Full kitchen facilities with oven, washing machine and dryer. Nice hotsprings until 10pm. Its a nice getaway. Huge bathroom.
Had a fantastic stay at the resort and spa. I truly enjoyed the variety of hot spring pools, as well as the steam room and sauna, which made for a wonderfully relaxing experience. The dinner was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Service throughout my visit was exceptional, and every detail felt well taken care of. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I look forward to returning again in the future.
