I can’t say enough wonderful things about this veterinary clinic! I recently started bringing my kitten here, and from the very first visit the staff has been kind, patient, and incredibly caring. They take the time to explain everything clearly and make sure both pets and owners feel comfortable. My kitten is usually nervous, but the team handled her so gently that she actually relaxed during the exam. The clinic is clean, welcoming, and you can tell everyone genuinely loves animals. I feel confident knowing my kitten is getting excellent care here. I’m so grateful to have found such a compassionate and knowledgeable . I highly recommend!

Update: August 2025 - We just want to reiterate how much we appreciate Dr. Danielson and the entire staff at Dayton Valley Veterinary Hospital. Lucky had a bad reaction to a new medication, and we were terrified for him. She was able to quickly diagnose the problem and take him off that new medication. He's doing great now! We are so thankful! Dr. Danielson and the team who are always so kind and caring to Lucky and us.

We have had lots of medical challenges with our beloved dog Lucky since we moved here almost a year ago. Dr. Danielson is so kind with Lucky and has been great throughout all of his issues. We love this place, the staff is awesome and the care is amazing. Dr. Jenn Danielson has been caring for our dog Kodiak (11 yo Golden Doodle) for several years. She diagnosed her early on with hypertension which we treated successfully. Most recently she found a tumor on Kodi’s spleen and performed surgery with great success. Our dog recovered well our Pets Best Insurance paid The very reasonable bills. Thank you Dr. Jenn and staff! We love you all. I would recommend this veterinarian to anyone who loves their pet .

I just noticed my review did not include a narrative so I'll add it now. We have been going to DVVH for almost 30 years, from the timed it opened with Dr. Minor, a local girl. She was absolutely wonderful with our dogs, and we've had many over the years, doing small dog rescue. Dr Minor was the best and she became a life-long friend. When she retired a few years ago, we were afraid the new vets wouldn't live up to her high standards, but we were very wrong. Dr's. Danielson and Samford are extraordinary in their knowledge, compassion, skills, and handling situations that might be traumatic for the pet owners. The staff at DVVH is wonderful as well, doing everything necessary to make our visits go smoothly and often going the extra mile. We couldn't be happier with all of them. Drs. Danielson and Samford better not retire or leave, for any reason. We want them here for a long time. Oh, and all our dogs love them dearly!!! (We do too!!!)

I pulled up to a empty parking lot. Walked inside to 3 people doing absolutely nothing. I asked if I could get my dogs shots done or schedule an appointment. They said they were talking no knew clients. I was told buy the staff they were way to busy. Never will I go back ever. Who turns down knew paying clients. Shamfull. They should all be embarrassed.

DR SANFORD IS AMAZING. Went to 3 different vets with my 2yr old Shar-Pei and none of them could handle him and one was scared of him. Dr. Sanford had no problem whatsoever. My boy is NOT aggressive at all just very timid but she was able to do full exam. Teeth, eyes, ears whole body and he was fine with it. Great job, and office staff is very nice. He even took a treat from her and has NEVER done so from anybody but his people. Can't tell you what this means to me to have a Veterinarian like Dr Sanford for me and my boy, she is awesome???
