I was very worried about taking my dog to a new vet. He’s a rescue and doesn’t do very good in new situations. I was absolutely floored with how amazing the staff and Dr. Emily treated my Charlie. He was calm. He was relaxed!!! Not only did they make him feel very good but the treatment we received was better than any treatment I have ever received in the 16 years of being a pet owner and also fostering many dogs. Dr. Emily was amazing and I would recommend this practice to anybody.
Being newer to NS we didn’t have a regular vet for our dog. We called in with an emergency on Sunday when we noticed our dog struggling to breathe. From the moment we called, to the moment we said goodbye to our sweet boy, we received amazing, quality care. All the staff were so quick to jump into action to help our boy and treated him and us with such kindness and compassion during a really difficult time. Highly recommend Truro Veterinary Hospital. Was new to the area and needed to bring our kitty for a checkup. The staff were MAGICAL!!! Mr. G hates going to the vet - or anywhere for that matter - and vet appointments had gotten a little insane; the old clinic ended up prescribing a sedative to administer before we went for our annual visit. Unfortunately, the pills were all gone when we moved here and I warned TVH that Mr. G is a "difficult" patient. But they went slow, fed him treats and soft food, and probably put a spell on him because the whole visit was a walk in the park. He was putty! I couldn't believe it! Highly recommend!
