It’s been a long time since I had my psych-Ed assessment at Erica Bakers office, with their “so advertised” adult autism expert. Though that practitioner was nice and empathetic (ish) to my situation as an adult woman looking for a diagnosis, I spent a lot of money to get a psych-ed, not an autistic assessment, to be told they just weren’t capable of giving me a diagnosis. After years of searching for a diagnosis, I found the support I needed and I have finally received my autism diagnosis by a therapist that my doctor endorses. I'd written to Erica Baker's office requesting help for a family member who needed an urgent psych-ed assessment. This was made clear in an earlier email and an intake appointment was scheduled. My wife poured her heart out during the appointment today but started to feel as though she weren't being listened to. Then, only after the intake process was over, she was told that they couldn't book an assessment until April. I feel that Erika Baker's office should have been upfront with this information, knowing that our child was in a vulnerable position and required urgent assistance. I had the pleasure of working with Caitlin Neily while working through my son's ASD diagnoses and found her to her to be professional, knowledgable, and extremely compassionate. She was flexible wth her schedule allowing for home and school visits and I often got detailed email follow-ups after appointments. I would highly recommend seeking advice for this clinic.
