Rosmarie Lohnes is a wonderful teacher. She helps you understand the natural processes of how a shoreline “works” -- how the sediment moves along a hardened edge, how plants capture and hold soil, and what shoreline vegetation should look like. She suggests how to help a shoreline withstand sea level rise and increased storm vigor. On request, she prepares a plan to carry out and maintain remediation work. In other words, she suggests ways to Help Nature Heal. I treasure Rosemarie's wisdom and advice.

i took the Ecological Landscape Design course this winter and it was SO fantastic ! i did the live class with additional site visit, and was blown away by how much access and support we were given.
Rosmarie is so knowledgeable and incredibly generous with information, time and resources. I am a gardener by trade, and found it incredible information and generative, but also got a really good sense of how beneficial this course would be to anyone interested, regardless of experience.
i can't recommend it enough ! and feel really lucky to now be part of such a rich network of gardeners / growers / landscapers etc. looking forward to more courses in the future.
