I had gone to different tailor shops before I went to this shop: one at Bedford Mall and another one in Lower Sackville. The service has been really good so far. I have brought complicated alterations several times and she nailed every single job. I am now taking to her the most complicated alteration job for me; which is reducing the size of a large coat to fit me. But I know she is going to nail it too; that is why I am so confident in writing this review even before I go to the shop. The tailor at the Bedford Mall (althoug good quality in general) is way too expensive and they even refused to do one alteration the way I needed it. If you're looking for a rainy day shopping center that you can spend hours browsing through, then this mall is probably not the one you're looking for. That being said, it has some unique stores and a pleasant artsy vibe (especially on the end of the mall that houses Pete's Frootique). The mall is mainly centered around Pete's Frootique as a prime destination, and prime destination it is.. It's somewhat comparable to "Whole Foods" in the US albeit on a smaller scale, but it makes up for its small size with a huge variety of food items that you are unlikely to find anywhere else in the city. Having lived up from this spot. It was the old standard. It's gone through quite a re-vamp in the last few years.. but as Ben noted, it's becoming more and more a Pete's location.. than anything. The creation of Bedford Common's has robbed the identity of the smaller malls having worthwhile shops. Aside from Shopper, Chapters, and Pete's.. there isn't much to show up for. There is the office towers in it as well. Doctors and dentist offices and eye doctors in the upper levels as well. Not a bad spot, just needs more and more 'higher class' stores in it.
