Ted Schubach has been my vet for over 40 years. He is awesome and always has been there for our many pets over the years. The pandemic has changed the face of veterinary care in Taos. Many people moved to Taos with pets, overloading the already busy clinics in town. We only have 2 vet clinics for all of Taos County. Last year we had a dog emergency and rushed to Taos Vet only to find they were closed for lunch! So we rushed to Salazar Vet and received care only to return to Taos Vet after the crisis had subsided. We had a great experience here. While in Angel Fire our dog got stung by something and it turned into a mess. The local vet in AF was away. We called Taos VC after hours and they waived us in. An hour later our dog was getting friendly, compassionate and professional care. Thank you. Highly recommended

Awesome!! Can't express my appreciation more. My chihuahua was due to have her litter any day- so she came along to escape the city madness and enjoy the mountain fresh air. Day before we are leaving to go home- she goes into labor. First pup delivered no problem- second pup was stuck. 8:30 at night Dr Schupbach answered the after hour number and said- Yes- bring her! Even though it took me an hour drive down the mountain- he was ready for us with a smile! Took care of Coco immediately. We have 3 healthy pups and mom is recovering well. He did a great job with her and was conscious of the babies as well. His price for an after hour emergency section was the SAME... read full review
