After spending considerable time trying to manage it myself, including immobilizing the area, limiting activity, and experimenting with multiple strips of athletic tape, I found myself stuck in a cycle where the pain would seem nearly healed only to become aggravated again.

Ray took X-rays before I met with Dr. Michelle Deitlhoff, and what impressed me immediately was how thoroughly she reviewed them with me. She explained what she was seeing, confirmed that the bone structure looked healthy, identified a small heel spur that was unrelated to my pain, and even provided preventative advice about Achilles stretching.

What stood out most was how quickly Dr. Deitlhoff understood the problem after I had spent weeks trying to figure it out myself. She explained that my symptoms resembled turf toe but were presenting differently than most cases. That level of attention gave me confidence that she was treating my specific issue and not simply applying a standard solution.

The treatment itself was equally impressive. I had been using eight strips of athletic tape with little success. Dr. Deitlhoff used a single piece of Elastikon tape, explained exactly why it worked, and showed me how to apply it myself. The difference was noticeable almost immediately, and for the first time in quite a while the pain felt neutral.

I did wait a little while to be seen, but the office was comfortable and welcoming. After my appointment, I understood why. Dr. Deitlhoff took the time to explain everything thoroughly and answer my questions. It was clear that patients are given the attention needed for thoughtful and thorough care.

Staff squeezed me in as a “sick visit” (seems to be their language for walk-in) since appointments are still booking more than a month out. Dr. Torres had amazing bedside manner.
