We have been at Rancho Mariposa for almost 5 years. We moved our horses from our 80 acre Texas ranch when we decided it was really time to retire. We had experienced overnight stays at several other Santa Fe stables when traveling with ours horses and visited other nearby stables when we decided to move to New Mexico. As soon as we visited Rancho Mariposa and spoke with Barbara Brockman, we knew this was the place for our horses... Barbara is there for the horses. She has helped us in choosing bits and saddles that fit properly as well as improving our balance and using lighter queues when riding our horses. We are better horsemen for being there. The monthly fee covers feed, high quality hay, scheduled turnouts, and blanketing in winter. There are no extra charges if your horse needs to be doctored. Supplements provided by owners are given according to your requested schedule. Our experience has been that the horses are well cared for and we have no worries.
