Steven Malero, still among the city's top hairstylists, colorists and color correctors, has relocated from downtown to Nob Hill. From a quiet, charming shop in the Village on Silver Avenue, SE, Steven continues to cater to clients from as far away as Dallas and Los Angeles. Steven has been cutting my hair for 2 1/2 years and has indulged each one of my hair-brained or hair-raising style adventures with the good taste, professionalism, and skill necessary to make a middle aged man with designs on looking fashion forward not to appear a foolish fop. I think I'm sticking with The Beauty Shop from here on. I felt that Rachel was totally committed to her clients and to her craft. The whole experience was comfortable, fun, and at no point did I feel the need to panic or call the state board. Rachel cuts with finesse and handles scissors like an accomplished musician holds her instrument--accurate, effortless and expressive.
