Dr. Dan is one of the most reknowned child psychiatrists in NM. The state is lucky to have, and keep, a doctor with such an impressive educational background and professional career who practices Integrative Medicine and traditional Manual Osteopathy on top of his extensive psychiatric foundation and who quite pointedly DOESN'T over-medicate his patients with psych meds, but instead works with his ever-expanding knowledge base, his wife's professional healthcare base, and the parents/guardians to find the best and most innovative solutions for our children. Dr Dan was my psychiatrist for several years. He diagnosed my bipolar disorder in 2000. Previously, I was only being treated for depression. He is a kind, caring, empathetic professional who truly listens - yes, he types everything, but he always heard me in our sessions. I also struggled with being an active alcoholic and he helped me understand how sick my drinking was making me. I moved out of Albuquerque so I discontinued treatment. I recommend Dr. Dan highly.

One psychologist told me my history is the most severe case of abuse he had ever witnessed. After working out my history enough to understand how to use the past in my present, I still held on to physical problems, fall to from the past. Dan and Alicia worked diligently for 11 days of treatment. I learned so much from them, have a better effective list of medications, herbs, instructions, manipulations. Armed with such an arsenal, I feel better prepared.
